Mito

Il padre di Ausone era mwdaUlisse, l'eroe protagonista dellmwdq'mwdgmwdwOdissea, mentre la madre era la maga mweaCirce oppure la ninfa mweqCalipso.

Ausone in seguito ebbe un figlio chiamato mwewLiparo (che avrebbe dato il nome all'mwfaIsola di Lipari).

Versioni alternative

Secondo l'interpretazione del mito che lo volle figlio di Calipso, Ausonio venne in mwfwItalia e diede il suo nome ad una terra chiamata in seguito Ausonia.

Per mwgqStrabone (VI 225 vg), Ausone avrebbe fondato la città di mwggTemesa.
